What about the role:
Reporting to the Director, this role is a unique and amazing opportunity for an all round tradesperson. This is a hands on position.
You will be responsible for managing your own workload, liaising with the clients direct and completing small jobs for our maintenance clients. You will provided more skilled labor if required, at your request. This is a hands on position, requiring someone who can problem solve, and put their hands to varied work, from installing coat hooks, through to building new walls, or patching concrete. Each day is different!
You will need to view the job with the client, provide estimate time (bigger jobs will be priced by our estimating team), order materials, and complete jobs.
Our ideal candidate:
Ensures project requirements, targets and programs are met.
Understand project contracts conditions, ensuring specific conditions are adhered to.
Ensure filling out of timesheets, with clear and correct information for on-charging.
Place orders of materials, ensuring lead-times have been accounted for, then place orders.
Undertake and document thorough quality assurance of our work ensuring all supplied drawings, NZ building codes and standards are correctly adhered to.
Background in construction, with a proven record of completing varied work
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with our clients and meeting their expectations is essential.
Comprehensive knowledge of the building process from start to finish, methods and materials.
Knowledge of site safety procedures and practices.
High integrity and trustworthiness.
Work closely within a team environment.
