It is not everyday that you get to work on a job such as this. Nearly all the ceilings we were contracted to do were customised to a level we had not seen before.
Although the drawings clearly showed what the ceiling should look like, it was left to the Good Buggers to work out how to suspend the ceiling and fix the plywood to the suspended structure. After a lot of work, and calculations, we chose to use a product called USG Drywall Suspended grid, intended for flat ceilings with gib fixed to it.
Once we ascertained that the method would work, we then had to find a member of staff that had the patience and skill to complete it to the highest standard. Tonga Middleton was the Good Bugger chosen, with Evan Austin completing the curved bulkhead surrounding. The skill was obvious. The ceiling was precise to the measurements, and stands as a great achievement from both Tonga, Evan and Tika Interiors.
